When Ryan Jessen, 33, died suddenly of a brain hemorrhage, doctors acted in a way that no one expected.
We were treated very well by the hospital, which let us bring my brother’s dog in to “say goodbye” and help her understand why her owner never came home.
Michelle, Ryan’s sister, wrote on Facebook, “If you knew my brother, you’d know how much he loved his cute pet.”
Ryan and Molly’s sweet moment was caught on camera, but it was meant to be shared only with their close family.
Michelle adds, “Others’ stories, the fact that they shared in our loss, and the kindness of so many people have had a huge impact on us and taught us a lot.”
Molly, Ryan’s sad dog, is safe with his sister, who tells him, “Don’t worry about the dog!” She is going to stay with us.
She is a member of the family.
Michelle says that Ryan’s donor heart will save a 17-year-life old’s right before Christmas.
